Would you like to make a "flower pot" feature like this one? then read on. Firstly even before the pots you will need a sump. Please see our project 2 for details on building a sump |

When you have your sump built you will then need to support your pots to do this we used two pieces of timber which we pre painted with wood preservative. Obviously bricks will last longer Next the pump was installed, followed by wire mesh to stop the gravel from falling into the sump. Then the pot was filled with concrete* When thoroughly dried the second pot was added and again filled with concrete* After this the gravel was added around the base and in each pot. Fill the sump with water switch on sit back and enjoy. *Each pot is filled with concrete to give stability and to reduce volume of water required, other wise before each pot runs over the sump would be empty.
